Fundraiser Futsal Tournament

The Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) Dhaka University Student Chapter (SPE DU) proudly hosted a "Fundraiser Futsal Tournament" on November 3-5, 2022, in commemoration of their 15th anniversary. This exciting event served a dual purpose, fostering friendly competition within the student body while raising vital funds for a local charity. 

Participants actively engaged in the tournament, not only showcasing their athletic skills but also contributing generously through donations of money and winter clothing. These collected resources were subsequently donated to "School of Ghasful," a commendable organization dedicated to improving the lives of underprivileged children in Dhaka. 

The tournament featured nine enthusiastic teams divided into competitive groups. The well-played matches culminated in a nail-biting semi-final and final round. Ultimately, "Team Chrysoprase" emerged victorious, while "SEISMIC 53 FC" secured the runner-up position.

SPE DU expresses its sincere gratitude to all participating teams, spectators, and everyone who contributed to the success of the Futsal Tournament. This initiative exemplifies the chapter's unwavering commitment to social responsibility and its dedication to making a positive impact on the broader community.
