Combined Geological Field Trip with AAPG & UDGS, 29 January 2024

SPE Dhaka University Chapter has successfully organized a two days long combined geological field trip from 26th January, 2023 to 27th January, 2023 with AAPG & UDGS, two renowned student chapters of Dhaka University, at Sitakunda, Chittagong with over 40 students (2nd Year to Master's) including executives from each chapter and our honorable professor Dr. Anwar Hossain Bhuiyan, Faculty Advisor of the following three chapters.

We studied the lithology, sedimentary structures & resources of Chandranath Hill on our first first day and Sohosrodhara Waterfall & Bayezid Road Cut Section on the second day. Also it was an enormous opportunity for the students from 2nd year to Master's to interact & be acquainted with each other. Students from different academic years learning & laughing together had been possible due to this field.

We are very much grateful & indebted to our respected professor Dr. Anwar Hossain Bhuiyan for academic instructions & leading the whole crew with unquestionable responsibility and to the officials of Young Power in Social Action (YPSA) for safety measurements & inhabitancy.

The more we say, the less it is. Indeed, it was a marvelous & the most exquisitely organized field till this day.
